The two-piece rod end consists of a body and precision ground, all impregnated sintered steel ball which allows the rod end to carry a greater static load. The ball is self lubricating under normal conditions. The three-piece rod end includes a body, ball, and race. Fully swaged creates maximum spherical conformity between the ball and race and many types of materials can be used for each component, giving the three-piece rod end much more flexibility.
